Rainy Day Breakfast

I know I can't make you make your french toast like mine, but I wish you would.

Seriously. One egg lightly beaten + a splash of milk + sprinkling of cinnamon + 1/2 splash of vanilla. 2 slices of non-stale bread in a Medium-High heat skillet and you're done.

Today I topped my toasts with fresh strawberries and blackberries, a dusting of powdered sugar (for the look pretty much), and very small drizzle of VT maple syrup.

Mmmm...

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to grade 15 student papers and acquire a job for next year.

Totally jealous of your breakfast.

I made French toast last week for P when she was sick. It was the best breakfast we've had in a long time. Too bad I didn't have fresh fruit to top it off, that would have been awesome.

Oh my god... I'm going to feel so sad eating my cereal tomorrow morning. That French toast is really beautiful.

I think I love you! I LOVE FRENCH TOASTE!

@ the whoopie pies: Mine weren't very sweet at all. I don't love overly sweet things, and I scarfed two of the whoopie pies! ;)

SO what exactly is a splash or a 1/2 splash? lol. And it looks yummy. I've never had blackberries before though...don't they have seeds? I'm not a seed fan. I miss all of your crazy cooking my dearest roomie. <3

So seriously if I want to make this this weekend...what's a HALF a splash?

Casey's Wifey: Okay... half a splash is probably about half a teaspoon. Or maybe even less. I honestly just took the vanilla and did a splash that was significantly smaller than the milk "splash" which is more like a couple of tablespoons.

So maybe I just don't "splash" right. :)
